USING THE .PDF FORMAT
My Sunshine Guide files
are all in the PDF format (.pdf). This
means that they can only be read if you have an Adobe Acrobat Reader (Version 5.0 or later) installed on your
computer.
Most browsers already have this program, since so many web
sites and documents are in this format (all of the IRS forms, for
instance). If you already have it, it
will automatically load when you attempt to open the following sample file:
If you don’t have it, you can download it for FREE at:
If you have an earlier version of Acrobat Reader, such as 4.0 or earlier, you should save it to a
removable format and then uninstall it from your hard drive. Otherwise, you may end up with two operating
versions, and your computer may use the wrong one to attempt to open a
file. The files simply won’t open with
the earlier versions of Acrobat.
NOTE: When
the time comes to print out the samples, make sure that all three of the
following boxes are checked in the Acrobat Printer Screen: (newer versions of Acrobat do this
automatically):
[X] Shrink super-sized pages to paper size.
[X] Expand small pages to paper size.
[X] Auto-rotate and center pages.
